Our friends over at JAST USA are having a cool summer sale on English-translated eroge, visual novels, and hentai RPG’s. I figured I would take this chance to talk about my favorite games, and tell you why you should buy them, since I’m familiar with most of the games, having sold them at anime cons or worked on them myself. Here are my personal opinions of games to grab during the summer sale!
First up is Nympho Sensei Ryoko, a game that we started selling at Anime Expo. It’s a great game about a very amorous teacher who wants to have as much sex during the course of each day as she can. The gameplay is quite innovative: every day the same day restarts, and Ryoko has a different set of adventures she can have, some with students, some with other teachers, some with random people she meets on the train, etc. The game is an example of a nukige (A type of eroge that is more concentrated on helping you masturbate), rather than the delicate and beautiful story. Grab it during our sale!
The next game I would recommend you to get during the JAST USA sale is Shiny Days. It’s the sequel to School Days — it’s actually a prequel, telling what would have happened if the characters had met the summer before School Days — with all the great characters from the original game back again. It’s a fully animated game, with 40 different endings, including plenty of “MILF” plot lines, since every character’s mother is a romanceable character with a developed storyline. The “dark” story elements of School Days are not in this game at all, it’s just about who’s having sex with Makoto in this route… and if you like Setsuna, great news, she’s the star of this game.
(School Days is also superb. The violent endings in the game are what make it fun. Note that the super-violent ending from the anime is not in the game at all.)
Then there’s Yume Miru Kusuri, a game that’s very close to my heart, as it’s one of my personal favorites. With the story by the creator of Kana Okaeri and Family Project and art illustrated by the artist of the Index/Railgun novels, it’s just about the best VN you can play during our sale. In the story, you go to high school with three girls, each of whom has some problem he needed to help her with. In exchange, you get sex… a big surprise there.
The Lightning Warrior Raidy games are also great to have. It’s a series of combat RPG’s in which you, the female warrior Raidy, do battle with lesbian monster girls in a variety of dungeons and towers. The art is great, the “sex if you win, sex if you lose” game system is great. Get all three games during the sale.
I enjoy the Princess Waltz game by Pulltop a lot, because it has great art, great characters, and fun card battle elements. Which heroine will be the one to win the Princess Waltz battle and become princess of the land? The production values in this game are just unbelievable. It’s currently on sale for 50% off and you can grab it here.
Another one that’s close to the hearts of many fans is Kana Okaeri, a total remake of the original, Kana Little Sister, adding high resolution art and full voice. It’s a game from genius visual novel writer Tanaka Romeo in which your sister is dying of a disease. You are very close to her, and the frustration both of you feel as you realize you won’t be with each other soon causes you to reach out for each other. There is also a great love triangle and many other interesting story elements, and seven endings to explore. Do yourself a favor, and get this outstanding game while it’s half off!
If you like the Initial D anime series, you should totally get the Moero Downhill Night hentai racing game trilogy while it’s 50% off. The girls want to race the touge, and if you help them win, you’ll get rewarded. Features racing CGI by the team that did Initial D!
Finally, Littlewitch Romanesque, the outstanding game made by hentai illustrator Oyari Ashito. In a complex world of magic, you are a teacher at a school, and have two years to teach magic to two students. The gameplay is great, with beautiful visuals, and lots of strategies included (for example, you must get three spells within 20 turns to go on a certain quest, which happens to be one of the sex scenes). The story is great, the art is astonishing, and there’s enough to keep you playing for a month or more. Play it while you’re waiting for Eiyu*Senki: The World Conquest to ship!
