One day, YouTuber @trinimmortal had an idea about turning our solar system into cute anime girls. The tweet soon garnered thousands of retweets and likes; quickly influencing the artist community to contribute to the idea. However, despite the original tweet discussing the idea of an anime about the planets in our solar system, it seems everyone’s been taking a closer look at Earth-chan herself.
Someone should make an anime where the planets in our Solar System are cute anime girls attending school and there's a running gag where Earth-chan is self conscious about her smaller chest, to which she constantly responds "I-I'M NOT FLAT!"

It wasn’t long until artists like DatWeirdoWhoLuvsMilk conceived a popular concept for Earth-chan — the anthropomorphic representation of our dear planet. She even has a surgical mask, likely to symbolize how sick our planet is due to pollution, global warming, etc.
It goes without saying that Earth-chan is precious! Our planet is lovely and if people didn’t want to protect Earth before, then maybe seeing it as a cute anime girl will change their mind. It’s made me think twice about where I’ll be throwing my paper and other recyclables away.
Know Your Meme has even listed Earth-chan on its site, further proving how popular this idea has become. Tons of artists have joined the bandwagon and it’s amazing. I’m sure Earth Day will never be the same after this.

Will you protect Earth-chan?
