While celebrating the anniversary of when you and she started dating, Yui says yes to a life-changing question.
Episode 11 – “Hanasaka Yui Is Startled”
Hmm.
One Room takes us back to where it all began. Yui Hanasaka has been in every season so far and the One Room series has grown alongside her. It’s clear that Yui the Best Girl will become the Best Waifu first. The POV main character just asked her to marry him, so if we don’t get a wedding episode next week, we’ll get a marriage proposal scene.
I believe that of all the POV main characters in One Room, Yui’s partner had the most hero traits. At the very least, he’s quicker to figure things out and plan things better than Yui. In the second season, One Room had a subplot about a secret which turned out to be working an extra job to pay for a ring. Yui earned her “airhead” reputation at that time. I would not be surprised if “you” used the Super Flirty Couple’s Game to broach the subject of marriage before the actual engagement happened.
Heh.
Yui graduated from college. She’s 23 years old now, according to the anime’s website. “You” haven’t changed your computer equipment since the first season, but you have a new meaningful desk decoration holding “your” rings. Yui is trying to wake up a sleepyhead. That’s “you.” She still has clover-themed hairpins, but they’re not as colorful as her old ones. They’re a more mature style. Is One Room implying that she lives with “you” now, or is she still “your” next-door neighbor? “You” want a kiss good morning? Yui isn’t that kind of girl. Uh yes, she is… YUI POUT!
Yui made a cake and wants “you” to help get the party started. What’s the occasion? Oh, it was just the two of you in the one room like usual. Ah. Yui and “you” celebrated “your” dating anniversary. She wants to do something special after the cake! Boo. It’s just a lovey-dovey couples’ dare card game. Ha. “Super Flirty Couple’s Game.” Yui used to be so bashful, now she’s so bold! Kyaa!
Yui likes it rough. Massages, that is. Good to know. Aha. Here comes the embarrassing stuff. Yui does love “you,” though. Ach! One Room made a huge joke about five things “you” like about Yui, but we can’t hear what they are. Please list the five things “you” like about Yui in the comments.
Uh oh. Yui needs to say “yes” to “your” questions. I assume these are yes/no questions. “You’re” quite sneaky, so I expect a BIG question to pop in there. Is Yui an airhead? We found that out in a previous One Room season. Snuck it in the fourth question! Yes, she’ll marry “you.” Ha and aw. Cute moment.
Yui is upset and not upset about the ambush proposal. Her formal “yes” answer is “your” confirmation. Oh, that kiss helps too.
The pink flower petal transition into the end credits shows us that Yui’s One Room chapter is a spring story. She wears pajamas in the end card, which proves she lives with “you” now. Is the final episode going to show the engagement or the wedding? I want to see Yui in a wedding dress!
One Room Third Season streams on Crunchyroll.
