Doukichan is thirsty! She wishes that Doukikun were more assertive, as her sexual fantasy dreams make clear. She also wants him to dominate her. We’re only two episodes into Ganbare Doukichan, and we already have clues about Doukichan’s favorite position. This knowledge lets the audience root for her, and it fills out their office lady roleplaying fantasies. Doukichan isn’t an innocent maiden. She just has a high shyness hurdle to leap over before she becomes the ideal girlfriend. Fanservice is the most vital narrative device for character development in an ecchi anime.
As a fan of Yom’s work with hosiery and sexy legs, I had hoped we would see more scenes than what Ganbare Doukichan has shown us so far. Granted, Doukichan is the only woman we’ve spent time with, and I appreciated so much her scene making chocolate at the end. Also, Yom’s earlier anime adaption, Miru Tights, spoiled us with legs and pantyhose. The show’s name explicitly directed our attention to the subject matter, and sexy tights inundated us from many sources in the first moments. Ganbare Doukichan is more about building relationships, so it’s taking its time to introduce its characters. Thankfully, Kouhaichan made a splash with her entrance. We should look forward to seeing how well her shapely tights-covered legs match her well-defined cleavage.

Doukichan gives us a quick recap of last week’s episode of Ganbare Doukichan. Why didn’t Doukikun jump her bones?! She didn’t get any sleep that night, but not for the reasons she wished for. Well, she had a dream with a happy ending during her flight home. The prologue and episode title set up Doukichan’s future wish-fulfillment scenario. Hot times in a cold elevator!
A stuck elevator is scary! Ha. Doukichan wishes Doukikun was confident and assertive in other situations besides an emergency.
Ah. Doukichan must have fallen asleep because she would never make the first move like that. Wow! She likes her fantasy men to be pushy. It’s also the second dream in a row where Ganbare Doukichan pushed her up against a wall. Haha, of course. She was dreaming again. Doukikun is a considerate and caring man, though.
Oho! Competition! Please say hi to Kouhaichan, the cat thief of Ganbare Doukichan. She and her deep cleavage are here to steal Doukikun’s attention away from Doukichan. And she knows how Doukichan feels about Doukikun! Look at that smug look back! But is she honestly trying to snag Doukikun for herself, or is she goading Doukichan into action? We need more data!
Ganbare Doukichan prepares the next battlefield. It’s Valentine’s Day at the office. Can the shy Doukichan give her homemade chocolate to Doukikun? We’ll need to watch next week’s episode.
