While a lot of people are looking forward to the release of the Final Fantasy VII remake, Square Enix has added to the hype for the franchise by making all the main soundtracks available on the popular music streaming platform Spotify as well as on Apple Music, worldwide.
Every mainline soundtrack from every Final Fantasy game can now be listened to on the go. That’s music from the original Final Fantasy until Final Fantasy XV (2016). If you’re looking for the direct sequel soundtracks like Lightning Returns and X-2, they are also available, including the individual albums for the XIV expansion!
Spotify has slowly become one of the most popular sources for streaming anime and video game music aside from the various music genres that are out today. They were able to put up an official playlist of Hatsune Miku’s songs as well as slowly adding Japanese anime music to their library.
The Final Fantasy VII remake was announced by Square Enix in 2015. After a few years of dead silence, a teaser trailer was revealed during PlayStation’s 2019 State of Play live stream last month. More details about the game’s release is expected to be revealed this month.
