After 5 years, the popular yuri manga series Citrus by Saburouta has ended as its final chapter (Chapter 41) was released in this year’s October issue of Comic Yuri Hime.
Although the last chapter has gathered mixed opinions from its readers, there is some good news as a spin-off manga titled Citrus Plus will be released in the same publication this winter.
Citrus focuses on the life of the upbeat girl named Yuzu and the serious student council president Mei. Yuzu’s life changed forever when Mei moves in with her—and to realize that they are both stepsisters! Both girls have lingering feelings for each other and they are tested with the random school and slice-of-life situations that both have to face.
Citrus was a New York Times Bestseller in 2015 with its volumes sold over 800,000 printed copies internationally. The manga also had an anime adaptation aired last January and concluded in March in a total of 12 episodes.
The story may have ended but it seems there’s still something more to look forward to after all!
