Who is Alice Otsu?
Alice Otsu is a JAV actress who’s been active in the industry since her debut back in 2013. She’s known for her trademark short-cut blonde hair and her extremely strong sex drive. This intense sexual energy has won her many fans over the years.
Alice became interested in sex from an early age when she found some discarded adult magazines under a bridge. This event caused her to learn about masturbation quickly. She was interested in adult doujinshi, and begged her parents to buy them for her.
When Did Alice Otsu Lose Her Virginity?
Despite this curiosity about sex, she wasn’t popular in high school and never had a boyfriend. At age 19, she went to a “student dating party” in Roppongi, and she lost her virginity to an older man at the party. The real shock came the next day, when another man from the party took her anal virginity. Her anus tore, requiring surgery, which turned her off to that for a long time.
She debuted under the name Seina Arisa, performing in a video titled Beautiful Girl Instant Fuck White Paper 12. When she finished her university coursework, she got a job as an insurance saleswoman, while continuing her JAV work on the side. Eventually, her company found out about her side business, so she quit the company to focus on her adult work.

What were you doing before you entered adult video?
I was a university student. A cosplay modeling shoot introduced me to a working AV actress, and I got to ask her a lot of questions about what it was like, filming sex in front of the cameras and staff.
How did you first feel about adult work?
I had reservations at first. I didn’t like the idea of the sex industry profiting from the female body. Talking to people working in the industry made me realize it’s actually quite a professional place.

You’ve been in the industry for about 13 years. What’s changed the most?
Early on I was doing a lot of events and only a handful of releases. It was really hard to stand out from the other 10,000 actresses. By never giving up, I was eventually able to break through.
How Alice Joined the JAV Industry
When you debuted in 2013, what did you expect?
I was unknown and started fairly casually, without big plans. My competitive drive grew later, and I wanted to put out my best work for my fans. Now I pay close attention to the sales numbers of my videos and try to always improve.
You’ve used several names. How did you end up as Alice Otsu?
I started as Seina Arisa (聖菜アリサ), then became Mizushima Alice (水嶋アリス) in 2016, and finally took the name Alice Otsu (乙アリス) in 2020.
You used to have black hair. What led to the blonde, gal-style image?
I planned the change as a last attempt to get noticed by fans. I think it went well, because I started to get really popular after the change.
Much of your work involves playing a character. What do you enjoy about it?
I enjoy role-play. Each script gives me a different persona, and being a different person every day is fun. It’s fun to perform as a certain character and try to do that well, separate from the sex stuff.
What are your hobbies?
Motorcycles! I ride, and I want to get faster and take part in races.
You’ve done events abroad. How did you like that?
I cosplayed at a general anime-style convention in Italy, and I have more overseas events planned. I’ve also visited Taiwan for work several times. It’s great to meet fans from all over the world.
Being Recognized by Fans
What happens when fans recognize you?
People recognize me quite often, even when I wear a cap and sunglasses. Sometimes fans reach out to tell me they saw me riding my motorcycle in various places in Japan, which makes me feel a little odd.
How do you spend a quiet day when you’re not working?
I try to keep things simple. I ride my motorcycle when I can, and I make sure I’m home in time for my animals’ dinner.
