Who was it that decided to give us the coveted oyakodon on the first page? Nagawa Hiiro, Hibipon, and Himuro Shunsuke (yes, this series requires two artists) released The Abandoned Prince and the Seventh Princess manga series on November 25th, 2025. ASCII Media Works has published one volume in Dengeki Daioh Web Comic.
The Envious Tales of The Abandoned Prince and the Seventh Princess
We have another case of really cultured mangaka doing their level best to put their manga’s synopsis in the title. Setting aside the harem aspect, when was the last time we got a series where an isekai protagonist got royally screwed over, and it wasn’t a revenge tale? Reischel spent five years on the front lines using his cheat skill “Complete Regeneration” to heal soldiers on the battlefield without once losing his smile. Gosh, it’s a breath of fresh air.
The story balances out Reischel’s banishment to the front lines by introducing him to the seventh princess of the enemy Holy Dragoon Empire. You see, he has to get hands-on to heal people, which is why he groped Rosemary’s chest to heal her wounds. After seeing his healing magic work, Rosemary brings him to her castle so he can heal the empress…by getting hands-on with the large waifu. Alkalion immediately falls in love with him, which more than makes up for that whole coup and banishment thing.
The Dragon Wives of The Abandoned Prince and the Seventh Princess
Yep, the Best Girls (so far) are “dragon-kin” dragon girls. I like elves and cat girls as much as anyone else, but dragon girls are entirely too rarely seen. They’re super strong, but their natural magical resistance blocks healing magic. This provides a convenient excuse for Reischel to get grabby with thicc dragon girls. Both key dragon girls have their own unique traits: Rosemary is a tsundere, and her mother Alkalion is almost like a kuudere.
Rosemary is your typical tsundere, and we love her for it. She acts uninterested in Reischel, then jumps his bones, and finally shares him with her mother in bed. Alkalion really steals the show. She’ll say the wildest stuff like professing her undying love for her savior and her desire for a lovey-dovey life with him, with a completely straight face. She also orchestrates the threesome that sets up the oyakodon romance and rewrites the laws so Reischel can marry both her and Rosemary. Mother/wife of the century right here.
The Art of Oyakodon with The Abandoned Prince and the Seventh Princess
By gods, do the women look perfect in this series. There are no real censorship concerns here. The chests are on full display, while the downstairs are concealed. However, in a stunning turn of events, the guy got the short end of the stick. There’s no typical convenient text box or towel; Reischel looks as smooth as a Ken doll when he’s naked and facing forward. Now, he is packing down there. He wouldn’t be able to satisfy two women at once if he wasn’t, and they comment that he’s very gifted. Also, he’s 20 years old; he’s just shorter due to malnutrition.
Now that we’ve spent time talking about a dude and his invisible junk, let’s talk about the waifus. The series plays with height gap: they are taller than him, and the art plays into that. It’s fun to see a short guy manhandle large, powerful women. Reischel takes them both on at once like a champ. Sao would definitely be proud. Alkalion and her multiple daughters are all thicc and not at all shy about flaunting what they have. She’s had several husbands of different races, and Reischel will likely have a very diverse oyakodon harem.
The Mother and Daughter Harem Conclusion
This is one of those manga series that you can read and be absolutely sure that everything is going to be fine. One page in, you see the main character has already won. There’s a subplot about assassins and a nobleman who wants to prolong the war so he can keep skimming money, but you’re sure everything is going to be fine. The art is stellar, and the story has more going on than giving Reischel excuses to grope women and bed the mother/daughter pairing.
This series has more than earned its place on my “please god update faster” list. The cultured guild hereby awards it with the coveted 5/5 on the Megumi rating scale. I’ll bump it up to 50/5 if Reischel marries all of the princesses and gets the ultimate oyakodon harem.
