What would you do if you arrived home and a kawaii hypersexual waifu in a seifuku outfit asked you to stick your finger into her vagina? I’d make sure that Jesus didn’t die in vain; I’d indulge in that situation and sin. Akane, from Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, disagrees with me. When Akane walks into her living room to find the same android that shoved her fingers up her vagina, there’s disbelief, confusion, and anxiety. Those three feelings could adequately summarize the overall vibe of Andoroido wa Keiken Ninzū ni Hairimasu ka??’s second episode.

AI Sex Bots — Clothes Not Included
Every anime I’ve liked has taught me something. Yama no Susume showed me where to find real beauty in this world. Let’s Make a Mug Too taught me how to make ceramics, and Sorairo Utility taught me how to yeet golf balls at caddies. What has Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, taught me? It showed me that if you spend what’s likely to be hundreds of thousands of yen on a sex bot, a complete set of clothes is not included.
The whole of Andoroido wa Keiken Ninzū ni Hairimasu ka??’s second episode was about Nadeshiko’s lack of clothing and underwear. We could solve that problem for her; a Nadeshiko in cow print would be glorious. That said, I’m smitten with the way this anime approaches its comedy. I don’t like nudity for the sake of nudity. If I wanted that, I’d get laid. I want sexually playful things; I want to laugh. Fortunately, Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, sets out to do precisely that.
Why does Akane need to insert her finger into Nadeshiko to activate all her functions? Who knows? Why can’t an ultra-intelligent robot put on underwear? Ask the manufacturer. Regardless of the answers, they enhance the fan service. Sexuality’s importance is overblown; accept it as a daily thing and enjoy it. Introducing absurd scenarios like this makes sexuality fun again. That’s worth celebrating.

Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? — Deep Horny Thoughts
My mind often wanders. Many people think that’s an unfavorable trait, but to me, it’s always a comfort. Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? seems like a short, straightforward watch. But it makes me think. I love it for that.
AI will increasingly become integral to our lives, and it will undoubtedly find its way into our bedrooms. Eventually, we’ll have AI sex bots, and when that day comes, we’ll have to ask: Does it count if you lose your virginity to an android? Can someone lose their virginity to an object? Likewise, can something with sapience and sentience be considered an object?
This anime doesn’t delve into anything that deep. I doubt anyone really wants it to. Imagine having an existential crisis about what makes life “life,” while your pee-pee is swollen like a tick on a hiker’s thigh because Nadeshiko’s opulent oppai are swinging about. I never thought I’d write that sentence. I never thought it would be possible to see this much sexual tension between a machine and a person, but here we are.
Hooray For Nyan Pollution-ω- and Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?
An anime is only as enjoyable as its production quality. Usually, ecchi anime and erotica don’t receive much production love. If it has oppai and it’s passable, most studios stamp their approval on it and send it out into the world. Thankfully, Nyan Pollution-ω- did better than that for Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? The artstyle is so pleasant to look at. The transitions between its normal animation and chibis are endearing. While the anime suffers from some of the production constraints of a short-form anime, it’s always enjoyable, horny fun. If I have a complaint about this series, it’s that I know it’s going to bleed my wallet when it’s done. My curiosity will get the best of me, and I’ll end up getting all its volumes and waiting for the release of the English version of the final volume.
But that’s what anime studios want you to do, so Nyan Pollution-ω- succeeded.
