Toya Senji has always worked himself to the bone to find a hidden talent within himself. His rich upbringing and his peerless older brother have left him with an inferiority complex. A chance encounter with a frequently absent classmate introduces him to the concept of Returners, people who inherit talent from their previous lives. Toya will discover that hidden talent and utilize it to face Returners with godlike abilities. We’ll see how he fares in battle against historic figures when Petals of Reincarnation (Reincarnation no Kaben) premieres sometime in April 2026. The trailer is available in both English and Japanese.

The Petals of Reincarnation Paint the Battlefield Red
Toya Senji has spent years trying in vain to uncover a hidden talent. His rich upbringing and his peerless brother have left him feeling like a failure. His endless struggle is halted when his peerless and often absent classmate, Haito Luo Buffett, appears in class. Haito appears easygoing and aloof, but she is a kendo master who easily broke the school’s kendo club. After returning his class notes, she told him to enjoy the full moon after his cram school sessions that night.

Toya runs into a brutal murder scene that night. A maniac easily dispatches a group of police officers and rounds on him. Haito saves him and invokes a supernatural ability that leaves Toya in awe. She is a Returner, someone who can tap into the abilities she gained in a previous life. The life that appeared first was that of the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi. Toya watched a samurai face the reborn murderer Albert Fish in a duel to the death.
