The waifu of the people has a new preorder figure heading our way! The silver-haired, blue-eyed beauty Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou from Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian is getting a beach figure truly worth gushing over. Russian winters may be oppressively cold, but the Alya Vacation Swimsuit 1/7 figure by KD Colle is hotter than the sun.
KD Colle’s Alya Vacation Swimsuit 1/7 figure — *In Borat’s Voice* — “Very Nice”
Despite all her admirable qualities and upbringing, Alya has a pretty lamentable life. For starters, the poor girl, without even realizing it, frequently spills her feelings to her crush. But most of all, she’s not even the most popular waifu in her show (Yuki supremacy!). Yet, it’s those qualities that make her so endearing. Well, so does her nosebleed-inducing body and good looks. And it’s those qualities that are on full display in this figure.
The figure features the playful Russian heroine leaning forward with her hand behind her back. It also comes with a beach-themed base. Her frilly baby blue polka-dot swimsuit supplies the figure with a gentle summer vibe, reminding you of a time long gone when summer was actually enjoyable. Her kawaii swimsuit also perfectly matches her eyes, and that’s a plus if you appreciate color matching.
I must admit that I didn’t notice how attractive Alya-san was until now, as other characters caught my attention more in this show. But one look at the back of this figure shows me how ignorant I’ve been, ’cuz Alya has back! If the Kremlin really wanted to take over the world, they’d ship one of these figures to every weeb on earth. And we’d have the Soviet Union Part 2: Waifu Boogaloo by January. Part of KD Colle’s 1/7 line, the figure stands at 9.1″ (23 cm). But Alya’s long legs and slender torso make it seem taller than it is. The Alya Vacation Swimsuit 1/7 figure is set to ship in March 2025. You can preorder this figure here; it retails for $180.
What’s Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian about?
Following the semi-romantic duo of Alisa Mikhailovna and Masachika Kuze, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian gives high school romcoms a kawaii little spin. Being what we in the industry call a “tsundere,” Alya expresses her affection for Masachika with cold behavior, rude remarks, and constant pestering. But the fair maiden can’t help but let her true feelings slip, though she’d let NATO waltz into Moscow before letting Kuze-kun know them. So, when Alya needs to express her genuine feelings, it’s in Russian. But, unknown to her, Kuze-kun understands every word she’s saying. Unable to respond to her flirting, he pretends he can’t comprehend what she’s saying. Yet, despite that, the two support each other through their daily lives and slowly grow closer.
Doga Kobo animated this twelve-episode TV anime during the summer 2024 anime season. The show is based on the light novel by Sun Sun Sun (artwork by Momoco). The show is, as the Russians say, “привлекательный” (attractive), and so is the Alya Vacation Swimsuit 1/7 figure, so be sure to get one.
