Another sports anime is on the horizon. Cute anime girls are here to make bowling seem cool. It’s kind of like what Birdie Wing did for golf. Turkey! comes from the “turkey” bowling term, whereby someone gets three consecutive strikes. Five girls will hit the lanes sometime in 2025. Let’s enjoy the brief trailer until then.
Susumu Kudo and Naomi Hiruta created Turkey! for Bakken Record and Pony Canyon.
Our five bowlers are as follows:
- Mai Otonashi — Hana Hishikawa (Additional voices from Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie). A bright and curious girl with a natural talent for bowling. She has pink hair.
- Rina Godai — Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). A serious girl who has something of a crush on Mai. She has blue hair.
- Sayuri Ichinose — Haruki Iwata (Kobeni Higashiyama from Chainsaw Man The Stage). A kind girl who rolls the heaviest ball. She is one of Mai’s childhood friends. She has brown hair.
- Nozomi Mitaka — Yuki Tenma (Ichigo Momomiya from Tokyo Mew Mew New). A confident girl and teen model. She is another of Mai’s childhood friends. She has blonde hair.
- Nanase Nikaido — Ayasa Ito (Vivlos from Uma Musume Pretty Derby). A genius girl who appreciates that the rest of the bowling club doesn’t question her research methods. She rolls her ball with two hands. She has purple hair.

Roll a Turkey!, Win the Girl
Plot details are sparse at the moment. Turkey! is set in the charming city of Chikuma in the Nagano Prefecture. The story follows five girls in the bowling club: Mai, Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi, and Nanase. They take bowling seriously but never stop having fun in their own ways.
