The hunt for the unknown and strange continues. The heroes of Dandadan argue over whether aliens or ghosts exist. It turns out that they’re both right that aliens and ghosts exist, and they’re not very friendly. Momo and Ken will begin their hunt sometime in October 2024. We can enjoy the MBS or Netflix trailers until then.
Yukinobu Tatsu released the original Dandadan manga on April 6th, 2021. Shueisha has since published thirteen volumes in Shonen Jump+.
Our intrepid hunters are as follows:
- Momo Ayase — Shion Wakayama (Henao Jazz from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). A psychic girl who believes in ghosts. She teams up with Ken to uncover various mysteries. She has a crush on the famous actor Ken Takakura.
- Ken Takakura / Okarun — Natsuki Hanae (9S from NieR:Automata). An unpopular guy who believes in aliens. He teams up with Momo to fight ghosts and aliens. Momo calls him Okarun because she feels he’s not as cool as the more famous Ken Takakura.

Dandadan of Aliens and Ghosts
Dandadan might be a weird title, but we have much to look forward to. Momo saves Ken from some bullies out of the kindness of her own heart. The two spark a conversation about the supernatural and their personal beliefs. Momo believes in ghosts but not aliens. Contrary to her, Ken believes in aliens but not ghosts. They get into a heated argument and agree to investigate two separate locations. Momo sets out for a location to pursue aliens, and Ken searches for ghosts in a creepy place. They are both proven correct when aliens and ghosts appear and begin to hunt them. Fortunately for Ken and Momo, they have hidden talents to help them survive.
