Some of you might already be familiar with YUKIBUSTER Z, the creator of the fox girl Shizu from the Demi-Human Foreign Marriage series. She has won many fans both inside Japan and around the world with her beautiful art creations, and now J18 has collected her best works for you, printed in brilliant color. Best of all, the original Japanese story of Shizu’s pregnancy and commentary has been translated into English, so we can all now understand the artist’s view.
With a massive 112 pages of content for fans, this is a wonderful limited artbook that everyone who enjoys gorgeous anime art should pick up.
This book is truly one of a kind. Every page is beautifully crafted with a beautiful girl as a centerpiece, and while Shizu takes most of the book, there are some surprises to be found.
The Best of YUKIBUSTER Z Collection I is divided into four parts, a short “The Making of the Cover Art” at the start, followed by the pregnancy diary of Shizu in the”June Bride”, and more of her in a chapter simply named “Shizu”. Finally, the book contains a compilation of YUKIBUSTER Z’s various works, under the appropriately titled chapter “Other Works”, and this includes other fox girls and human girls.
I can’t say it enough, but, YUKIBUSTER Z‘s art is mesmerizing. I love beautiful mature looking anime women, and this artbook strikes all the correct notes. When creating the artbook announcement video, I wanted to show off the beauty of the characters, and the elegance of her artwork. I hope I accomplished that. You can take a look at the video below.
