One of our favorite categories of characters in anime are teachers, who provide such a wide range of entertaining character types to provide guidance to the characters in the show as well as humor — and ecchi fan service — for us as viewers. We asked our awesome followers to share the best anime teachers, and here’s what we came up with!

Lilith Asami
Have you ever watched a show just because you liked the character design of one character? That’s how I ended up watching Trinity Seven, because I loved the character design of Lilith-sensei so much. And I was well rewarded.
Kirisu Mafuyu
The teacher from the popular harem anime Bokuben, Mafuyu-sensei gets into many sexy situations with Nariyuki, but she’s pure at heart and would never do anything untoward with a student.
Yuuzuki Kiryuu
Kiryu-sensei, on the other hand, does all kinds of sexy things with the main character of Kiss x Sis, Keita. An awkward rekijo (female Japanese history otaku) who’s self-conscious about still being a virgin at age 23, she considers letting Keita take care of her problem for her.
Sakie Sato
If we were including male teachers in this list, the main character Tetsuo Takahashi, who wants to understand his monster girl students so he can be a better teacher, would be a shoo-in. But we’ll go with the popular Sato-sensei, a succubus who develops feelings for Tetsuo, yet has trouble approaching him because of her succubus aphrodisiac power.

Rebecca Miyamoto
A child genius who went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she can’t pronounce “Massachusetts.” She’s so adorable.
Kana Kojima
One of four horny teachers from the Nande Sensei Ga Koko Ni!? fanservice anime, she’ll change the way you view inserting suppositories for the rest of your life.
Yukari Yukino
One of the most complete and wonderful anime teachers, Yukari is under pressure which causes her to doubt whether she can continue her career as a teacher. She meets a student who helps her find her path. One of my favorite anime films ever!
Yuri Koigakubo
Toradora, more than any other anime I can think of, is a totally realistic series that tells a totally believable story. For example, in one scene two characters elope to get married…but it doesn’t work out, but things like that rarely do. I love the teacher, Yuri-chan-sensei, who really wants to do the best for her students and teach prepare them for the world.l
Sawako Yamanaka
Another fun anime teacher is Sawa-chan, who loves dressing the Light Music Club members up in various cosplays. If you come to Japan someday, you can visit her classroom.
Yuiko Okuzumi
Perhaps the sexiest anime teacher is Okuzumi-sensei from Miru Tights, who loves to torment her students with her long, sexy legs. We’ve got her figure and more on the site here.
Ryoko Sumeragi
The teacher from the JAST USA hentai game Nympho Sensei Ryoko (Japanese title: A Day in the Life of the Bitch Teacher Ryoko Sumeragi), she’s dedicated to her students, especially about developing their, ah, sexual health.
Mizuho Kazami
Finally, we have the titular (heh) sensei from Please Teacher!, easily the most popular anime teacher among our followers. I think I might take the current period of isolation and give the series a re-watching. Who’s with me?
