Hmm.
It was fun to see Tejina-senpai explore Assistant-kun’s feelings for his Senpai. It’s not exactly love or possessiveness, but there is a certain wistfulness for something more. There’s definitely enough there to spark insane jealousy. Assistant-kun’s stray cat analogy captured that dynamic well, while Saki-chan’s assessment of it as creepy is a valid take. There’s also that feeling that Assistant-kun has put in the most work of dealing with Senpai, so he should be the one to have the most benefits, or at least be first in line for consideration. It’s still self-centered because this sentiment does not even acknowledge how Senpai might feel about him. This is the dark side of the friend zone. Most of all, it was just satisfying to see the straight man finally lost his marbles after 11 episodes.
We’re almost to the end of the season, so I can remark with confidence about the consistency of the chapter titles of the short sections including the word “senpai.” Earlier in the season, we could always assume it referred to Tejina-senpai. With the introduction of Madara and Saki-chan, we had two more Senpai for whom the titles could refer. Tejina-senpai was usually the star, but we also had nice surprises with the other senpai sharing a scene with Assistant-kun. Like Madara-senpai last episode and Saki-senpai this week, you just never know who you’re going to see next. I like that kind of well-planned structure, which also means the boys will never have their own scene together. I’m okay with that.

Chapter 1 – “Four Balls Senpai”
And we’re back to our regularly scheduled program of botched magic and sexy times with our Tejina Senpai. There’s no fanservice here, but there is some emotional doki-doki stuff for our straight-man Assistant-kun. Okay, okay. We can giggle at Senpai handling big balls. Perverts.
Cupping and palming big balls… Stop!
Good question — if Senpai can palm a ball in the bath, why would her hand sweat be a problem?
I see two kinds of misinterpretation at work here — touching hands as a sign of intimacy and that sticky fluid on the hands as a sexual visual joke. Assistant-kun should be thankful for the gift of Senpai’s bodily fluids!
Chapter 2 – “Ventriloquism Senpai”
She’s not dead! But she can read minds…
Saki-chan has her own obsessions. Well, obsession. Her Ma-kun, of course. Uh, what kind of trash is to have Ma-kun’s “smell” on it? Ma-kun is used to freezing her out.
Assistant-kun has the best lines. “I refuse to comfort you!”
Ventriloquism is street performing too. Nice Ma-kun hand puppet! Assistant-kun isn’t bad at this trick. Saki-chan’s complaint is that he’s not doing Ma-kun’s personality. So greedy.
Nice. Saki-chan teases the thirsty Assistant-kun. Unlike Tejina-senpai, Saki-senpai knows how to wield her sexiness.
Ha! That’s the closest Assistant-kun is going to get for a kiss from Senpai. The Senpai hand puppet has a skin fang too! I see opportunities for merchandise here.
He’s not going to… Is he really… He did it! Puppet panty-shot! Admit it. You would have checked under there too. This would be hilarious if this were the only flash of the episode. Keeping the weekly streak going.
Chapter 3 – “Tailing Senpai”
Ooh, a mystery! Senpai has a male companion?!
Ah. Ma-kun takes over the “magic” application portion of this scene, with more psychology and mentalist stuff. Judging from his “trash,” he’s going to take the dirtiest most exploitative interpretation of Senpai’s actions.
Ha. Senpai didn’t order two glasses because she was meeting someone. She did it to get another glass to practice her coin trick. Eating and pooping. Some interesting outing.
Ooh! An older man! Driving a minivan…
Assistant-kun has the best reactions. Dashed hopes, or total shock? This is the first time we’re seeing him freak out! Saki-chan admits her boobs aren’t as big as Senpai’s!
That is a great analogy. Assistant-kun is just surprised the stray cat Senpai is actually a house cat. Sounds possessive, says Ma-kun. He’s not wrong. Ma-kun goes straight to a pro assassin. And Saki-chan goes straight to amateur guerrilla sex videos. Har! Just like one of Ma-kun’s “secret” adult videos.
Oh, dear Lord. Senpai has picked up a bitter melon.
Ma-kun needs to be quiet now. His deductions are getting more and more elaborate.
Average size lingerie? She’s obviously not shopping for herself. Yeah. I don’t think someone would go so crazy about a house cat getting petted by its owner. Assistant-kun is just very passionate about Senpai’s not-average-sized chest getting the recognition it deserves! Who has the worse imagination? Assistant-kun or Ma-kun?
And it’s all explained by the dude being Senpai’s brother-in-law. I wonder if he supports Oneechan-sensei’s cosplay hobby. Senpai laughed off the boyfriend suspicions. Time for yuri? Or is magic her one true love?
Next week is the last episode! Nooo! One of the chapter titles in the preview said “Bunny Senpai.” I’m hoping we get to see Senpai and the other senpai in the bunny girl outfits from the end credits. We still need to see those maid outfits too, so perhaps it’s already time for school cultural festival? I’m looking forward to that.
