The upcoming special episode of Ranking of Kings Treasure Chest of Courage (Ousama Ranking: Yuki no Takarabako) has a new trailer to hype up the fans waiting for Bojji to continue his adventures. The last trailer was released a few months ago, teasing fans for what was to come.
Ranking of Kings Treasure Chest of Courage is set to premiere in April 2023. Until then, here is the latest trailer.
Wit Studio, the fine people adapting the series, has maintained a promotional home page for the upcoming special and an official Twitter page dedicated to the series proper. They sent a tweet announcing the special back in August. They also shared a couple of Key Visuals some time ago.
A Treasure Chest of Unspoken Courage Is Opened
The plot details about Ranking of Kings Treasure Chest of Courage, and the trailer doesn’t shed any further light on the new adventures that Bojji and his friends will be going on. Bojji is seen swinging a sword, then dealing with a bear with Kage, and other things. Daida has maintained his brotherly relationship with Bojji and was seen training with a pole staff.
In terms of magic, Hilling channels her magic with another person, and the two seem to be struggling. We’re also shown a flashback to Desha’s revolution in the Underworld, which might be an adaptation from the volume nine bonus chapter, Immortality.
Overall, the tagline for this special episode is “I’m sure you’ll find it.”
Bojji’s Dream of Becoming the Number One King
For those new to the series, Ranking of Kings is set in the Bosse Kingdom. A committee has been established, acting in place of “Gods,” who rank kings and kingdoms based on their prosperity. The top-ranked king is granted access to the “Divine Treasure Vault,” a stronghold filled with riches and holy artifacts.
The principal character is Prince Bojji. His father and mother were both giants and famed adventurers. But he is comparatively tiny, weak, and deaf, the victim of a deal with a demon that became a source of shame for his father. Many looked down on him, but his kindness and upbeat attitude swayed many to his side, even his stern stepmother and stepbrother. With them at his side and his best friend Kage, he faces the world with a smile, chasing his dream to stand atop the ranking.
Ranking of Kings Origins
Ranking of Kings first entered the royal ranks as a manga series written and illustrated by Sosuke Toka. The mangaka began posting the series to Echoes’s user-submitted Manga Hack website in May 2017. Enterbrain gained the rights for physical publishing and has since released fifteen volumes for fans to purchase and collect.
Wit Studio took up the task of adapting the series to anime. The series ran from October 15th, 2021, to March 25th, 2022, with 23 episodes.
