Mash and his friends will return in the new season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles. Although we don’t have a premiere date yet, we can confirm it will cover the Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc. Mash puts his godlike strength and skills as he continues to participate in the Divine Visionary Selection Exam. We’ll see how he does sometime down the road. Hajime Komoto wrote and illustrated the original Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga between January 27th, 2020, and July 3rd, 2023. Shueisha published eighteen volumes in Weekly Shonen Jump. Season 1 of the anime adaptation premiered on April 8th, 2023.
Our muscle man and a couple of his friends are as follows:
- Mash Burnedead — Chiaki Kobayashi (Stark from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). Mash was born without magic. His adoptive father trained him to become super strong.
- Lemon Irvine — Reina Ueda (Sonia in Spy x Family). Lemon comes from a family of modest means and tries to help them by ascending the magical ranks. She has since fallen in love with Mash.
- Finn Ames — Reiji Kawashima (Patrick / Ricky from Shadows House). Finn is Mash’s roommate and one of his best friends. He plays the straight man in comedic situations.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles Aims for Divinity
Mash was born in a world where magic is everything. Society casts out those without magic — such as Mash himself — and targets them for execution. Mash would have shared their fate as an infant had Regro Burnedead not taken him in. Some considered Regro’s magical abilities weak, so he became just as much of an outcast. But what Mash lacked in magic, he more than made up for in raw strength.
The police officer Brad Coleman discovered Mash’s true nature while Mash was out purchasing cream puffs. Brad had failed to arrest Mash, so he made a deal: Mash must become a Divine Visionary. With such a stellar title, no one could touch Mash or Regro. Though Mash lacks magic, Brad helped him enter the prestigious Easton Magic Academy.
The Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam will soon begin. The evil forces commanded by Innocent Zero have started to move. Mash and his friends must gather their strength to save everyone.
