Idol Stabbing Victim Tomita Mayu Begs for Justice in First Appearance Since Attack

21-year old pop idol, Tomita Mayu, covered in a heavy veil, begged, “I want my former body with no injuries back!”, in Tokyo’s Tachikawa Courthouse four days ago.

According to AramaJapan, the victim was stabbed over 34 times by attacker, Iwazaki Tomohiro, at a small concert venue on May 21st of last year.

Since the attack, Tomita has struggled with several PTSD issues and has had problems with talking and eating, sleeping, and vision. She has also confessed to feeling uneasy with visitors, believing that they’d come to kill her, while feeling as if the most important things in her life have been snatched away from her because of the brutal attack like studying at college, singing, and acting.

These were her words on her attacker, Iwazaki:

“While I am just stating my opinion and laughing inside my heart, my reflections are not the same. I think that my attacker hates me. He will try to come and kill me this time. I can’t sleep at night properly as he regularly appears in my dreams, trying to kill me. I generally believe that he is the type of person who will kill anyone.”

Immediately after Tomita’s statement, Iwazaki exclaimed, “Well, kill me then!” and “There is no way I would kill you!” and was taken from the room described to be uncontrollable by the judges present.

After Tomita’s twenty minute long proclamation she addressed the judges with one last statement on the sentencing.

“Please deliver a harsh judgment to my attacker as I don’t want a similar attack to happen again. I don’t want another person to suffer. I can never forgive him for what he did to me as deep scars remain on my body as well as in my heart.”

Iwazaki may serve up to 17+ years of imprisonment depending of the rulings of the judges.
