For otakus, one of the ways to express your love for your favorite series or best girl is to post posters around your room. Some even go an extra mile by purchasing calendars which feature cute anime girls.
Now, what if these calendars not only look so attractive to stare for a while, what if they talk to you too?
Gakken Sta:Ful, a Japanese Stationary company recently created two spiral calendars with each featuring a different girl. Both calendars are special for they are not only perfectly drawn for the waifu-worshipping otaku, but they also have voices.
They are called the Ii Koe (“Nice Voice”) Calendars. They are 8.3 inches long (21 cm) and they work together with a free VR app which let you play voice samples of the anime calendar girls. Each version of the character has a total of 31 pages which you can reuse for each month. That means every day you get a new vocal message from the cute anime girl.
In case you’ll be getting this soon (priced at 2,916 yen or $26 USD), here is some info about the two anime calendar girls that you can purchase:
First is Yukina Shirakawa (illustrated by Netarou). She is a mid-level employee of a major publishing company and her passive-aggressive words is perfect for those who want a hot-and-cold tsundere girl. Her words she will say to you will be “You’re really late coming home…Bu- but it’s not like I was lonely or anything, you dummy! Just hurry up and go to bed already!” and “Ju- just today, I’ll say it. Thank you for always being kind to me. I love you.” Yukina will be voiced by Ayana Taketetsu (notable for voicing Kirino of My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute and Leafa from Sword Art Online).
Our second girl is Riho Ichinose (illustrated by Shunsuke Taue). Her story is quite interesting as she plays the role of a childhood friend. She moved to your town to start school and you two are living together. Now expect her to say you things like “I was so excited for our date today that I couldn’t sleep last night”, and “Oni-chan! Good morning! It’s time to get up!”. Riho is voiced by Aoi Yuki (Borr from SSSS. Gridman and Futaba from Persona 5: The Animation).
So, if you’re looking for a different kind of calendar, then this one could be your best bet. You are sure to not forget the date and days of the week ever again.
