Aichan and others see Bangs-chan’s wedding. Aichan wishes Oniisan another delightful week on Monday.
Part 12
Hmm.
Last week, on Tawawa on Monday, we saw Aichan in a wedding dress. We expected to see Bangs-chan in her wedding dress for the ceremony. Was that fair to Kouhai-chan and Cheer-chan? How could those two get into wedding dresses for the final episode when they’re not involved in Bangs-chan’s life? Well, we need to remember that the Tawawa-verse is small. The busty characters always run into each other or their male partners incidentally and accidentally in their town. They are all connected by geography and circumstance. Tawawa on Monday found a way to dress up each girl as a blushing bride.
Heh.
For Aichan, the struggle is real. Ha! She achieved victory over the zipper once again! The sisters have fancy dresses on. It must be Bangs-chan’s wedding day.
There’s a church. There are parts of a well-endowed young lady in a wedding dress. Par for the course in Tawawa on Monday. Oh, that’s Bangs-chan! And that’s Bangs-chan’s forehead. Wow. Unrecognizable. Aw. She’s shy with her bangs swept back. Congratulations to Sensei and Bangs-chan!
Hoho. Cheer-chan is in wedding dress too! She can see Bangs-chan from her photoshoot venue. This is how Tawawa on Monday puts the other girls in wedding dresses. We saw Aichan in one last week. Aw. Kouhai-chan and Senpai came across the wedding too. She still says things to Senpai to give him the wrong idea when he knows better. Are they going to toss the bridal bouquet right here? Okay… No surprise here. The bridal bouquet landed right in Aichan’s hands. Good luck with Oniisan!
Epilogue time during the rolling credits. Bangs-chan wants a baby next. Do your best, Sensei! Har. Cheer-chan needs to copy Baseball Club-kun’s homework again. In a wedding dress to match her gravure spread! Oh ho. Kouhai-chan made Senpai imagine her in a wedding dress. Is this trend of including classic cars in wedding pictures still a thing? It’s too late for him. The Tawawa on Monday anime put all the girls in wedding dresses before the end of the season. Way to go!
The adventure continues. Aichan gives Oniisan a dose of heavy jiggling on Monday to charge up for the week. Thank you, Aichan!
The creator of the Tawawa on Monday series illustrated the last end card. Himura Kiseki included Aichan, Kouhai-chan, and Bangs-chan.
Final Thoughts.
The Tawawa on Monday Two anime changed animation studios for the second season, so we need to compare it with the first season. The visual differences were jarring. It took time to adjust to the character designs from the new studio, Yokohama Animation Lab. The first season looked like a one-to-one translation from Himura’s art. In the second season, the characters’ eyes were the noticeable differences between the media. Kouhai-chan’s eye color changed from blue to brown, different than the source material and the first season. Thankfully, the body designs captured the heft and dynamics of Himura’s original art.
The second season of Tawawa on Monday also had tighter plot development. By focusing on four girls, instead of the girl-of-the-week format of the first season, that special Tawawa-verse bond felt more connected than coincidental. The random Tawawa girls meeting the characters out and about felt more organic this way. We only had three cameos, with two coming in one episode.
Aichan felt left out of the fanservice scenes. She and Kouhai-chan were the stars of the first season. So, I can accept that Bangs-chan and Cheer-chan needed to pull extra weight for the second season. They and Kouhai-chan gave us two bikini episodes and a hot springs episode. The focus on Aichan’s character development allowed us to meet Imouto-chan and Kaa-san, which allowed for sexy, humorous scenes about fashion. The concept of character growth in the Tawawa-verse has more than one meaning!
As we saw at the end of the episode, the welcome sight of heavy boobs on Monday is still there to lift us up for the rest of the week. The Tawawa on Monday webcomic series continues each Monday morning on Himura Kiseki’s Twitter timeline. J-List has the crossover of Getsuyoubi no Tawawa with Yom’s Ganbare Doukichan in stock at the publication of this blog post. The Blu-ray set for the season becomes available on Christmas Eve, so we’ll let you know when the J-List store has physical copies for sale. I hope we see Aichan and her friends in another anime adaptation sooner than the five-year gap between the first and second seasons.
Tawawa on Monday Two (Getsuyoubi no Tawawa 2) streams on Crunchyroll and VRV.
