The 2018 Studio Ghibli Calendar Provides a Treat for Miyazaki Hayao fans
For a ridiculously long number of years, J-List has been selling awesome calendars from Japan, from September through January or so. This year’s anime calendars are great, with lots of offerings from currently popular shows as well as anime series that ran this year. One of the highlights of our calendar season every year is checking out the new Studio Ghibli calendar when it comes in. In this post, we’re going to show you the new Studio Ghibli calendar, which allows us to see directly into the mind of Miyazaki Hayao!
Here’s the Studio Ghibli calendar for 2018. The reason why we love these calendars so much is that they always feature original illustrations from Studio Ghibli, illustrating scenes from their famous films. Because the images are original, each one created just for the calendar that year, they’re prized by fans, especially since they can give you information about our favorite animated films that’s not necessarily in the films themselves, yet would be considered “canon” because they come from Studio Ghibli directly. They’re kind of a Miyazaki-approved Ghibli Expanded Universe™.
Some background on the anime calendars we sell. They generally come in two types: large poster -sized calendars that are shipped rolled up, as well as desktop calendars that are flat. The Studio Ghibli calendar is unique, since it doesn’t fall into either category. It’s a large flat calendar that we ship with protective covering. You can use the illustrations as posters when 2018 is gone.
