Want To Know the 2018 Anime Calendar Ranking?
Every September, J-List offers hundreds of gorgeous anime, traditional photo and art, plus sexy idol and JAV calendars to our customers. It’s a long tradition, going all the way back to the Autumn of 1996, right after we founded the company to sell used JPOP CDs and issues of Urecco, a stylish porn magazine that was popular in the days before the Internet took over. We got our first copy of “the poster” and chose a few dozen calendars to offer our customers, and the rest was history.
Over the years, the calendars offered have shifted, and today there are fewer JPOP and idol calendars and more anime calendars, in part because of changes in popularity but also because idol groups often remove their calendars from general distribution in order to force fans to join fan clubs in order to buy. But there are plenty of anime calendars, and that’s what we’re here to show you!
A NOTE ABOUT OUR EARLY BIRD SALE: J-List is having a 30% off “Early Bird Sale” if you order two or more Japanese calendars which ends on October 5th. This for several reasons, mostly to ensure that customers get their orders in so they can get their calendars by the new year, and also to ensure that they come in safely, as calendars become hard to get closer to the end of the year. So give us an order for two or more calendars, and save 30% now!
So let’s take a look at the the 2018 anime calendar ranking!

Bringer of Pixiv fanart-and-memes, the Fate:Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order calendars are naturally going to be popular.
Yay! Our favorite tank girls are back!
There are two Hatsune Miku calendars this year. I think this is the best one, visually.
Re:Zero was hugely popular, nice to see it’s getting a calendar. Enjoy lots of Rem and Emilia
Konosuba is another fun show that’s popular because…I’m not sure why actually. Mostly Megumin and Darkness.
Super popular calendar so far this season! Preorder your Seven Deadly Sins calendar.
Ah, always nice to see a new Studio Ghibli calendar in the anime calendar ranking. This calendar is popular every year because a) it’s huge and gorgeously printed and b) every illustration is totally new and original, not taking frames from the films of Miyazaki Hayao but created for the calendar by Ghibli’s artists. As such, the calendar is nice because you can catch official details from past Ghibli films that illustrate things we might not know about the universe. Preorder yours now!
And finally, the top selling calendar so far this year, the well-deserving No Game No Live Zero movie. Lots of other No Game No Life products in stock, too!
