Today is the 10th of October in Japan, which means it’s Moe Day! You may be a little bit confused but the Japanese characters for October and the 10th day of the month (十月十日) when combined make the kanji for Moe (萌).
Moe is a Japanese slang loanword that refers to feelings of strong affection mainly towards characters in anime, manga, video games, and other media directed at the otaku market. Moe, however, has also gained usage to refer to feelings of affection towards any subject in this day and age.
To celebrate Moe Day, we’re having a 10x points sale on all of our art books and figures! In addition to this sale, we’re giving you a chance to win an anime figure of your choice and wonderful snacks from Japan!
