Last week, the Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale anime film hit the shelves as a DVD rental in Japan, and some fans hurried to pick up a copy to confirm whether the bath scene reveals Asuna’s plot. The film’s director Tomohiko Ito and fellow staff members teased in July that the Blu-ray and DVD release of the film might reveal Asuna’s nipples during the bath scene.
Fans are rejoicing because the rental release does include a brief reveal of Asuna’s nipple around the 25:52 mark as she is getting out of the bath. The scene also reveals her buttocks.
The retail Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of the film will ship in Japan on September 27 and will include English subtitles. In addition, the official website has revealed all the Blu-ray and DVD pre-order bonuses. The site has also announced that fans who order the limited edition box set will get a short story by Kawahara and will feature the following illustration by abec:

The Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale anime film will release on September 27 with a total of 4 different editions. Two of which will be limited edition releases that come with a special box with a visual of Kirito on the front side and a visual of Eiji on the back.
The limited Editions will include:
- The 120 minute film (DVD or Blu-ray) with English and Japanese subtitles
- Collection of promotional videos, trailers and commercials
- A short story written by Kawahara with illustrations by abec
- A 108 page booklet
- A special animated short of the main characters in SD/chibi format, Sword Art Offline –Ordinal Scale–
- Audio commentary with the cast
- A bonus CD featuring a few tracks from the film

Sword Art Online is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. The series takes place in the near-future and focuses on various virtual reality MMORPG worlds. The light novels began publication on ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint from April 10, 2009, with a spin-off series launching in October 2012. The series has spawned eight manga adaptations published by ASCII Media Works and Kadokawa. The novels and four of the manga adaptations have been licensed for release in North America by Yen Press.
An anime television series produced by A-1 Pictures aired in Japan between July and December 2012. An Extra Edition episode aired on December 31, 2013, and a second anime series, titled Sword Art Online II, aired between July and December 2014. A video game based on the series, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, was released on PlayStation Portable in March 2013, with a second game, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) released in April 2014. A third game, Sword Art Online: Lost Song, was released on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in March 2015.
