Glenn and Sapphee travel to a harpy village with Tisalia and her centaur attendants, Kay and Lorna.
Case 5 – “The Centaur with a Sprain”
Hmm.
Monster Girl Doctor continues to impress me with how a problem specific to an animal species can turn into sexual inspiration for a lady chimera. The writers also like to play with the audience’s expectations. An episode set in a harpy village should make Glenn’s accidental sexy time be about birds, right? No! The subject will be “horseplay” in all the connotations because centaurs brought the Litbeit Clinic to the remote mountain avian village. It’s a common thing for horses to require blinders so they don’t become distracted and stressed out pulling carriages in a city, but to turn that into a blindfold and bondage session because a sexy lady is present is top notch linkage. We shouldn’t be so surprised because our introduction to Tisalia’s centaurs in the first episode showed us horse problems are going to be a great source of sexual fetishes. Riding horses requires bridles, saddles, stirrups, lassoes, crops, whips, and sometimes spurs. Let’s not forget the post-ride rubdown with liniment. There’s still so much to explore!
It’s also fun that introducing the cast of monster girls requires Glenn to travel outside of Lindworm. This is nice for more world-building and showing us how and where the monsters live. Lindworm under Skadi isn’t the only place dealing with postwar issues. The new era of peace lets faraway places start to enjoy the fruits of progress. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death, but it’s easy to see how the other three follow War when lives become disrupted, roads become impassable, and disease spreads without access to simple healthcare and sanitation. Real peace is taking hold in the world of Monster Girl Doctor when doctors can visit villages again because war is no longer preventing travel and commerce. The harpy girl with the stressed-out egg-laying lives in this harpy village, so we’re getting a mini-arc. I like how Monster Girl Doctor weaves a progressing timeline through its episodes.
Heh.
Rough roads. Tisalia insists on pulling Glenn’s carriage by herself. There’s a big, jealous snake in there too, you know. The fairies have fun bouncing around, but they could just be hovering and not worry about the bumps. Oh. They’re going to a harpy village because Dr. Cthulhy told them. The harpy girl with the bad egg and strappy panties comes from here. Will they meet Illy this episode? Tisalia really wants Glenn to marry her. Oh no. Landslide! That’s not good. Kay hurt her leg! Lorna seems extra worried.
Ooh. There are harpy boys. That carriage is going to have a much smoother ride now. The Native American designs are consistent for the dudes too. I know the centaur in Everyday Life with Monster Girls was “big” too, but Monster Girl Doctor openly flaunts those huge horse girl chests. Ha. Harpy boys have their own kind of macho. Carrying a horse on a stretcher is no big deal.
Interesting. Harpies build their dwellings on the mountainsides and have platforms for launching. I wonder if there’s a class system where the elites have their houses higher up, to make landing and lifting off easier. They do like to sit in trees like birds, though. The elder looks like a wizened owl. Plot point to save for later – “rumblings” have been occurring more often lately. Is there a volcano nearby? Some nefarious action from an anti-peace group? That rockslide did occur right on top of Glenn’s carriage. Coincidences are rare in episodic television.
Ah. Those houses on the ground near the river are for guests and government business. Cross-species relations in Monster Girl Doctor is important. Kay sprained her knee. I hope they don’t euthanize centaurs like they do horses if they have a broken leg in this world. Oh ho. The harpy village has hot springs. This will be important later too. Aw. Sad horse ears are sad.
This is frontier medicine. The huge line to see Dr. Glenn. So many Native American tribes’ cultural dress in this one cut. Important detail – Sapphee said it was only the first day of their stay. Monster Girl Doctor is going to be in the harpy village a little while. Haha. Sapphee needs to pout when the harpy girls they rescued from the slavers pay a visit. Uh oh. Illy says she doesn’t want to see Glenn. To be continued!
Here we go. The drama for the Monster Girl Doctor episode is a Lorna’s mental state. She’s preoccupied and distracted. Lorna and Kay are war orphans who became sisters when Tisalia’s family took them in as servants. Lorna explains centaurs’ mercenary culture of fostering children who lost their parents. This will be another cultural shift during a peacetime era. So much centaur culture explained in a harpy village…
Tisalia noticed Lorna’s mental state. Glenn will figure something out that turns into out-of-context sexy time. Fun. Tisalia eats a big salad for dinner. Lorna is in a daze. Oh, Tisalia wants the harpies to join the Scythia Transportation company. Airmail could totally be a thing in Monster Girl Doctor. Ha! Tisalia got Sapphee on her side by bribing her with wine. I love the hooch-swilling snake! Aw. Tisalia knows Lorna and Kay have a bond different than hers because of class distinctions.
Glenn is on the job. How to solve a distracted horse girl? Kay seems fine separated from Lorna, but the vice versa is different. “High-strung” is a phrase to describe horse personalities. Dr. Glenn becomes a veterinarian for Lorna. Sapphee is a smart monster girl, but scarily manipulative. Distracting fairies from a basket of fruit may be the same way to help Lorna the high-strung centaur.
Not blinders, but a blindfold like a veil calmed Lorna down. Things are going to take a dark turn very soon… Eh? Why does a centaur need a bridle? Riders control a horse with a bridle for nonverbal communication, but… okay, okay, we’re obviously in gag and BDSM territory now. Sapphee knows Glenn has gone too far. Yeah. Glenn went too far. Lorna flipped her M Switch on. Posture improvement using harnesses… cool story, bro. Haha. Glenn is aware Lorna might be calming down due to her personality and “interests.”
Ah haha! Lorna and Kay try to claim the bondage hobby belong to Glenn, not Lorna. Oh, these monster girls are big teases. Lorna and Kay want to “thank” Glenn for all his help. They also make the hard sell to marry Tisalia since they come along for the ride, so to speak. Uh, I have questions about Centaur anatomy now. Are human lady parts in the front? Aw. Glenn is a pure, pure boy. Fun. They’re teasing, but not kidding.
Next time, Illy the harpy deals with mental trauma from her sex trafficking ordeal.
