The perverted school comedy manga series Seitokai Yakuindomo will get a second anime movie in 2020!
Originally a manga by author Tozen Ujiie serialized since 2007, the series has already spawned two television anime series, a ton of original animation DVDs, and a first movie which was released in 2017. It was revealed recently by Kodansha that studio GoHands would produce a second movie that will hit the big screen in Japan on July 10th. All the primary cast and crew members will return to reprise their roles, and Miho Okasaki will join the cast playing the character of Yuu Hirose.
The original television anime premiered during the summer 2010 season. A sequel was announced in 2013 and aired during the winter 2014 season. For the longest time, the series remained unlicensed for home video by anyone in the west until Sentai Filmworks released the two television series and the movie as a complete collection in December 2019. They describe the story as:
When the all-girl Ousai Private Academy goes co-ed, freshman Takatoshi Tsuda finds himself in a situation that most guys can only dream of — one of only 28 boys in a school of over 500 girls! Unfortunately, that fantasy slams into a hard wall of reality when he runs into Student Council President Shino Amakusa and she drafts him onto the council! That might not be so bad… except for the fact that Shino, council secretary Aria, and even faculty advisor Ms. Yokoshima are all seriously sex-obsessed, while tiny treasurer Suzu has rage control issues, and the head of the school newspaper spends her time peddling candid pictures of the council members! Will this lead to Takatoshi becoming a Big Man on Campus? Or will he end up as the council’s whipping boy?
Stay tuned here for more updates on the second Seitokai Yakuindomo movie as new visuals and promotional videos are released over the coming months.
