Train station advertisements are nothing new. If you live anywhere with a decent public transportation system, you’re used to seeing posters plastered on the train station walls and bus stops advertising the latest blockbuster or some wild new fast-food sandwich. At Shinjuku Station in Japan, though, train advertisements are on a whole different level. From giant black cats to walls smashed by Shonen Jump protagonists, Shinjuku Station ads don’t mess around. The latest feature on the walls of the station is no exception, depicting the baseball babes of Cinderella Nine through… dirt and mud.

Images of the banner ad spread on Twitter during the week, giving us a good look at the huge mural advertising the sports-focused mobile game. Five girls from the game are shown in the ad, and if you get up close you’ll notice the clumps of dirt and streaks of mud that were used to create the inventive illustration. The caption on the banner reads “Do you like girls who give it their all?”

Cinderella Nine, or Hachigatsu no Cinderella Nine, has been live on iOS and Android for a few years now. In it, you collect new baseball players, interact with them, level up their skills, and then dish it out on the baseball field.
The protagonist of the game, Arihara Tsubasa, has appeared multiple times in videos with virtual queen of the internet Kizuna Ai to advertise the mobile game.
While there isn’t an official English release of the mobile game yet, there’s an official Cinderella Nine anime adaptation that potential fans can catch streaming on Crunchyroll to whet their appetite for baseball girls.
