A popular Japanese cosplayer and Twitter user named @JPparkGuardian is notable for his perfect body. His pecks are so perfect and good-looking that he doesn’t show is face anymore. He is notable for his manly gender-swapped version of Serval-chan from the popular Kemono Friends anime. How he did it is quite simple: he wears a printed mask for Serval-chan and just goes top-less with serval-pattern shorts. He also cosplays as Dio from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Cosplay has been a thing in the anime and otaku culture for a very long time. As years went on, it has come to the point that people tend to forget the importance of personal space and the golden rule of “Cosplay is not consent”. It is not just female cosplayers that get this mistreatment—sadly even male cosplayers have their own stories to tell as well.
Recently, JPparkGuardian shared his experience on Twitter on one specific female fan that he encountered in a cosplay event who touched his nipples without his permission. He also shared that he soft blocked one of his followers on Twitter because of the incident.
He shares his story:
普段あんまりブロ解はしないけど昨日のコスプレイベント後に初対面の女の人に「胸の筋肉触らせて下さい」って言われて触らせてあげたら触りながら指で探りを入れて乳首を弄ってきた
「止めてよ」って笑いながら注意したら向こうはヘラヘラ笑ってた
男だろうが女だろうが流石に軽視し過ぎでお別れした

“I usually don’t soft block people on Twitter, but yesterday I took part in a cosplay event. Afterwards, I was talking with a woman I’d never met before, and she said ‘Please let me touch your chest muscles,’ so I let her.
While she was touching them, she started searching around with her fingertips, and then she started playing with my nipples. ‘Stop it’ I cautioned her while laughing, but she kept on bellowing with laughter.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a guy or a girl, that’s being too disrespectful, and so I’ve cut off all contact with her.”
当の本人が男カメラマンとか男レイヤーにセクハラとかストーカーされたから嫌って話してたけど自分はなんなんだって思って聞いてた

Of course, he laughed a lot not along with her but due to nervousness and ticklishness. He continued on sharing that the woman was very confusing. He also recalled one of the things she said to him while she continued playing with his nips:

“She’d been talking about how she didn’t like that some male photographers and male cosplayers had stalked or sexually harassed her, but what did she think she was doing [to me]?”
Let this be a reminder to everyone that while that one coplayer you’ll meet in the con is awesome in his or her portrayal on the characters that you admire, it doesn’t mean that you go overboard touching them as much as you please.
